The Export potential of Livestock

Faisalabad June 24, The Export potential of Livestock sector can be enhanced through adopting highest health care and management standards by farming community with the help of Veterinary Scientists. This was stated by the UAF Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan while addressing the “Annual Function of Veterinarians” as a Chief Guest at Iqbal Auditorium on Wednesday.
He added that Dairy Animals and pets are suffering from highly mortality rate in the country due to in-adequate health care and vaccination, Dr. Iqrar Khan urged the young Veterinarians to step-forwards in the field of health care at farm level. He maintained that Milk and Meat production needed to be accomplished with value addition in order to capture the Market of Muslim countries.
He also stressed the need for innovative approaches in pharmaceutical processes at country level. Earlier, the Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saddique in his Welcome address said that Veterinary Faculty has been striving for excellence in teaching & research since its inception. He revealed that Pharm-D Program is likely to be introduced at UAF in couple of months.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Irshad, Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal Randhawa and other Faculty members also spoke on the occasion. Students presented skits and comedy programs on the occasion. The Chief Guest Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan distributed prizes, mementoes and certificates among the position holder students
