University of Agriculture Faisalabad is going to celebrate its Golden Jubilee

Faisalabad–University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) will celebrate its ‘Golden Jubilee’ in March 2011 by arranging a series of events throughout the year. A week long mega programme—Spring Festival would be held from March 13 to 20. A spokesman of the UAF said that the golden jubilee celebrations will be dedicated to Washington State University (WSU) Pullman,US. In this connection, a delegation from WSU would also participate the week-long celebration.

UAF has decided to organize various seminars and conferences, besides holding Agri Exhibition, Horse & Cattle Show, Fancy Birds & Pet Show, Alumni Meet,Flower Show,IT Exhibition, Monsanto Job Fair, a Business Plan Competition, a Food Mela, World Water Day and an international strategy seminar on ‘Performance of UAF since 1961 and Vision for next 50 years’ during golden jubilee celebrations.

A photography based exhibition comprising rare photographs pertaining to West Pakistan Agriculture College Lyallpur’s transformation into University of Agriculture Faisalabad and other mega events would also be held during week-long activities
